Spring Beauty

With the weather warming in Melbourne, here's a little something to get you in the spirit of Spring.

It's all about creating strong highlights and subltle contouring for radiant skin this Spring. Favour illuminated, dewy skin over a matte finish. Add flushed cheeks and berry stained kisses for the perfect Spring look and don't be afraid to embrace a little colour.

  1. Love this spring inspiration - I'm dying to try some dewy looks! What would you recommend for those who have oily/combo skin?

    1. Hi Effie, naturally oily skin actually works best with this look! Just use a light liquid foundation, my favourites at the moment are Maybelline FIT and Loréal True Match. If you are fortunate enough to have clear skin a tinted moisturiser or bb cream will work too (try NP Set Memory Foundation, or Garnier BB Cream). If you normally powder your foundation skip this step to avoid mattefying your base, if you feel you have to, try to stick to your T-Zone only. The key to this look is to highlight (cheek bones particularly). I am loving Napoleon Perdis' Ultimate contour Palette (the top light pink colour) but any highlight with a slight shimmer will work great. I plan to have a post on the blog featuring a how-to on contouring and highlighting so stay tuned! xx
